Get in Touch
I read every message that comes through, though I’ll be honest - during lambing season, responses might take a while.
Article Suggestions
If there’s a topic you’d like me to cover, I’m all ears. The best articles come from questions people actually ask, not what I think they should want to know.
Speaking and Events
I do occasional talks for breed clubs, farming groups, and veterinary organisations. If you’re organising something and think I might be useful, drop me a line with the details.
Collaboration
Other veterinary professionals, researchers, or agricultural organisations looking to collaborate on working dog health projects - happy to discuss.
What I Can’t Do
I cannot provide veterinary advice for individual animals over the internet.
Full stop. No exceptions.
I don’t know your dog, I haven’t examined your dog, and making diagnoses based on an email is how good dogs end up with bad outcomes. If your dog is unwell, call your local vet. If it’s after hours, most areas have emergency services.
If you’re looking for a second opinion on a diagnosis, ask your vet for a referral to a specialist. That’s the proper way to handle it.

Response Times
I try to respond within a week for general enquiries. Speaking requests or collaboration proposals might take longer as I need to check the calendar and often discuss with the practice.
If you don’t hear back within two weeks, feel free to send a follow-up - things occasionally get lost in the shuffle, especially during busy periods.
